LGBTQ+ Affirming Therapy
Navigating identity as a child or adolescent can be challenging, especially for LGBTQ+ young people. We offer a supportive, affirming space for young people exploring their sexual orientation and gender identity, while helping them build confidence and self-acceptance.
It is important that queer young people do not internalize negative messages about sexual orientation and gender identity, creating feelings of shame and unworthiness. We work with clients who may need additional support building a positive identity, coming out, facing bullying or harassment, disagreeing and/or being rejected by family or peers, and experiencing depression or anxiety, among others.
“I want to make sure that any young person ... sees no shame, that they see pride.”
